Mehdi Khessouane fell since his early age in the cauldron of creation. Reared in the breast of his father, an architect and his mother, a passionate of art, he was always attracted by drawing and science. So, at the age of 17, with a high grade in experimental sciences, he simultaneously enrolled in the college of biology – where his commitment to the respect for the Planet Earth comes from, and applied for the competitive exam at the École Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Casablanca.
His final study project was directed and inspired by the architect and jewellery designer Amina Agueznay. In parallel, Mehdi has worked on an ecological project, a research centre, creation and development which purpose is to link scientists, designers and thinkers to fight against global warming.
Meanwhile, Mehdi has participated in the Fashion Week of Casablanca for three times. And, after getting his diploma in interior design architecture, he worked for the architecture firm HANDIS as Project Manager on the rehabilitation of the Lalla Yidouna square in Fes. After this experience, Mehdi worked on the creation of the “M Khessouane Concept” proposing a lifestyle in harmony with nature gathering afterwards several artistic projects that include furniture, events and video performance.
In 2012 Mehdi moved to the United States for an internship at the Harvard Graduate School of Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Thereafter, following his personal and professional artistic inspiration Mehdi comes back to Morocco where he continues his struggle for the protection of the environment through Art.
